If you are a steak lover and wondering where you can eat steak at an affordable price, SALT Restaurant is a must try.

SALT is located near Power Plant Mall in Makati. The place is around a residential area and you might need the help of your Google Maps or GPS in order to find it.

When me and my office friends went in, we were the first customers at 6pm; considering it was Labor Day but after a few minutes the restaurant got full with customers, mostly families that came from Church or the mall.
SALT is known for their affordable steak which costs around 190 Pesos (yes you heard it right).

Their steak is cooked medium rare but if you like it well done, you may request for it and the staff will cook it for you.

I ate my steak as it is, the size is overwhelming but worth the price. as I had mine in medium, the meat was soft. This was also paired with their signature gravy and Potato Salad with a cup of Rice, the portion size was just right.

20160501_191522My friend ordered Grilled Cajun Chicken (as recommended by some food blogs), which costs 200 Pesos. The serving is also big and the meat is tender. The chicken was paired with their signature gravy and salsa. A good alternative if you are not a fan of steak.

SALT Grilled Cajun Chicken2For dessert, we were about to order Frozen Brazo De Mercedes, one of their best desserts but unfortunately it got sold out so the waiter recommended to try Tartufo Ball instead. Tartufo Ball is like a scoop of chocolate ice cream, with more chocolate inside the center. It was soft chewy and not too sweet.

I would like to come back again to try their Frozen Brazo De Mercedes, and another serving of steak.

SALT is located at 5887 Fermina Corner Enriquez Street, Poblacion, Makati City. You may contact them at 621-5121.
